Prague / Polly Bishop’s Slip Jig / The Storyteller
[Nancy Kerr arr. Nancy Kerr / Daniel Wood]
Eliza Carthy and Nancy Kerr with Daniel Wood played Nancy’s tunes in 1993 on their eponymous album Eliza Carthy & Nancy Kerr. Nancy commented in the record’s sleeve notes:
Prague was written in my bathroom shortly after a visit to Czechoslovakia. I wrote Polly Bishop’s Slip Jig in the bathroom for my friend Polly who deserves a tune. The Storyteller is named after Sam Thomas and I wrote it in the bathroom.
The first tune, Prague, together with Liza’s Favourite from the same album, was included as one track on their 2002 compilation album, On Reflection.
