Recorded by Bill Leader;
Notes by A.L. Lloyd
Dark blue on cream version: sleeve designed by Gloria Leader and screen printed by John Alexander, notes typewritten on a six-page inlay;
Red stripes version: This is a generic gatefold cover; the picture with the album title is glued onto it, A.L. Lloyd’s typeset notes are glued onto the inner left and the record sleeve on the inner right of the cover.

The record label of the red stripe version says “First published in 1958” but this probably refers to the ten tracks (marked with *) that were licensed to the American record company Riverside for their album English and Scottish Love Songs.

Duncan Guthrie told me in an e-mail that his copy of the screenprinted album has a second inlay with the trsck listing and the note “Release date: May 1960”. I’m not sure if this is an actual inlay of the album or an advertisement flyer that had just been edded to his copy.
