Heather and Glen
Heather and Glen Tradition Records TLP 1047 (LP, USA, 1961) |
Recorded and edited by Alan Lomax;
Cover design by Goran Bjorndal;
Mastering by David Hancock
The sleeve notes state that “Most of the songs were recorded in the summer of 1951 with the help of Calum McLean and Hamish Henderson”. Neither Jeannie Robertson nor Davie Stewart were ‘found’ by then by the folklorists. Alan Lomax recorded Jeannie Robertson in 1953 and Davie Stewart in 1957, so their tracks might come from these recordings.
