High Level Hornpipe / Uncle George’s

These are two tunes recorded in 1976 by the Albion Dance Band during the sessions for, but not included in the Kickin’ Up the Sawdust album, with Jimmy Cooper, hammered dulcimer; Bob Cann, melodeon; Pete Bullock, piano; Graeme Taylor, electric guitar; Ashley Hutchings, bass guitar; Michael Gregory, drums and percussion, They were finally released in 1985 on the Dambuster Records double LP Buttons & Bows (together with Clare Dragoons), in 1995 on the Ashley Hutchings anthology The Guv’nor Vol. 2, in 1998 on the Albion Band anthology The Collection, and in 2004 on Stepping Up: A History of the New Wave of English Country Dance Music.
