Steeleye Span recorded this tune for their album Commoners Crown. A live recording from the Royal Opera Theatre in Adelaide, Australia in 1982 was released on the rare Australia-only LP On Tour and in 2001 on the CD Gone to Australia. Peter Knight said in the latter album’s sleeve notes:

I had wanted to write a tune that combined the qualities of two types of jigs, classical and Irish, and this was the result. The particular changes of key throughout the tune are not usual in traditional Irish music although common in classical music.
