Far From Me

John Prine wrote his song Far From Me in 1971 for his eponymous Atlantic album John Prine. It was a favourite of Trevor Lucas’s in the country vein.

A live recording at The Troubadour Cafe, South Melbourne, Australia in October 1984 with vocals and guitar by Trevor Lucas was released in 1989 on his Friends of Fairport fan club cassette The Attic Tracks Vol. 2. The 1994 Sandy Denny and Trevor Lucas cassette Together Again - The Attic Tracks Vol. 4 has a Trevor Lucas solo track from Fairport’s Fairfield Hall concert on 16 December 1973 which didn’t make it on the 1974 Live Convention album, but it was included in 2005 as a bonus track of the album’s CD reissue.
