Clinton Heylin's book “Sad Refrains” doesn't list a concert in Denver in 1974, but FC was touring in the States at that time, as he does list concerts in Los Angeles, Worcester Mass., New Jersey, Cambridge Mass. (twice), and New York City (twice) between February and October of that year. In any event, his book, while comprehensive, is not complete, nor entirely accurate. The back cover has the photos from Live Convention (with DM), while the back of the booklet has a photo of the band at the time, but with Bruce Rowland. I don't know which drummer is present, but I suspect it's DM, because he left the band during the recording of Rising for the Moon, which (according to Heylin) was recorded in two stages: October '74 and again in March '75. The artwork is quite nice. Unfortunately, the sound quality isn't great. It's rather muffled, the balance is somewhat odd, and the levels fade in and out, sometimes subtly, occasionally more noticeable. One rather annoying oddity is that after the vocal section of Matty Groves, the recording is quickly faded out as soon as the instrumental section begins. Still, all things considered, the CD is quite listenable.
